Black People of India
Thรจse are the earliest pictures I hร ve of Black peรฒple in India ๐ฎ๐ณ
I collected them as an anthropology student at UCLA. Since reading Chancellor Williams in 1972 I have been fascinated by the Blaรงk people of India. Both the historians Chancellor Williams and Cheikh Anta Diop wrote about them. Marcus Garvey and Malcolm X wrote spoke about them. I have visited them on three occasions. They are Black and they see themselves as Black. They are not "dark-skinned Indians" as some s.tรปpidly suggest. Why is this so hร rd for so many of us to understand? They even have an organization called the Dalit Panthers, named after the Black Pร nther Pร rty is the US. Now two of our greatest scholars--Chancellor Williams and Cheikh Anta Diop--wrote about them. Two of our greatest leaders--Marcus Garvey and Malcolm X--spoke about them. I have visited them, not once but three times. What is it about them you know that we don't and how could any thinking person sรนggest that they are somehow not Blaรงk?
