Temitope Balogun Joshua, a late Nigerian televangelist, had his YouTube channel banned by the internet video sharing company. This follows charges of sexual and physical abuse made against the late preacher in a BBC documentary. The BBC and Open Democracy reported the channel, which boasted over 500,000 subscribers and hundreds of millions of views, for allegedly breaking the rules of the platform. Emmanuel TV was "terminated for violation of YouTube's Terms of Service," according to the video-sharing website. The BBC examined Emmanuel TV's online presence as part of their investigation into TB Joshua's activities at his Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), and they discovered at least 50 “abusive” videos on YouTube.
